  • Out@NJMS is the student organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students and their allies at New Jersey Medical School. It provides educational, social, and support activities for the students, including the Sexuality Cinemas film series and the Human Sexuality in Medicine non-credit elective.
Human Sexuality in Medicine Non-credit Elective Co-founder and co-coordinator, 2012-2013
  • Developed a course for first- and second-year medical students to provide education about health disparities in the LGBT community, difficulties patients face talking to their physicians about sexuality and sexual health, and ways student doctors can address the health needs of their patients as they relate to sexuality.

Prior Professional Experience

Between 1998 and 2004, prior to completing my bachelor’s degree and pursuing a medical education, I worked for a variety of companies, including ILX Systems, InterWorld, Columbia House, Razorfish, Invisible Hand, and CNet Networks. My final position, from 2002-2004, was a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at DoubleClick (now a Google company), where I focused on software development methodology, process improvement, and the automated testing of back-end UNIX systems.
